Don't Be A "Bob" And Get Fooled By Headlines...

I try not to get caught up with "pet peeves" because I'm all about living a stress-free life (and, hey, let's face it, getting all worked up over other people's silly habits is pointless because you can't control what anyone else is gonna do)...

But as much as I try, I'm still only human.

And every so often, something happens that gets me so utterly ticked-off that I just can't stop myself from getting worked up into a rage because well meaning people trying to improve their lives are getting taken to the cleaners!

This is one of those times...

Oh, crap, I'm already worked up and getting way ahead of myself here. Let me slow down a bit and explain:

First off, I make it a habit to never check my email or take phone calls first thing in the morning because while I LOVE the freedom working from home gives me, I know if I don't stay 100% focused on moneymaking activities (and fun family stuff) to start with, then my day spins outta control and nothing gets done (which is a big part of the reason why it took me over 17 long, bloody years of struggle to go from deadbeat to self-made millionaire the first time, but when I'm focused I've made over $526,000.00 in sales in a single week!... but that's a story for another time).

Anyway, for some reason, this particular day, I broke my no-phone-calls-no-email-in- the-morning rule, and without thinking answered...

"Joshua...this is YOUR fault. You've got to fix this for me!" was all I heard screeching at me like nails on a chalkboard before I dropped the phone in shock. Rather than get worked up by the rude intrusion, I simply took a deep breath and sipped my favorite Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee and listened to this clown continue talking to himself without taking a breath.

Actually, I bet it was funny to watch if you were anyone else but me or Bob because there I am trying to regain my composure while the phone receiver is dangling off the desk, while Bob's voice now sounds like a chipmunk hopped up on Helium and Speed Amphetamines...

Anyway, what seemed like fifteen minutes later (but was probably more like only 5-7) I decided I was calm enough to pick up the phone receiver and try to make heads or tails of this conversation.

'I've lost it all, Joshua!! I quit my job, cashed in my 401k, and invested everything in that damn business! I am ruined!! We are going to lose everything!! This is all YOUR fault!!

My fault?!?!
Now slow down, Bob...

"You told me that globalization and free trade would eventually eliminate my job!! You told me that anyone who puts their financial future into the hands of any employer is a fool! You told me that the Internet was the last place to make your American Dream come true!! This is your entire fault!!"

Now I'm getting worked ...
